# HyperNet
HyperNet is an open-source audio networking solution designed for enthusiasts who want to transmit high-quality multi-channel audio over CAT-5 or fiber-optic networks. My goal is to create a robust and flexible system.
Currently the project can handle 4 channels of audio at 24-bit depth and 48KHz sample rate.
**Special thanks to [Dr. Christian Nöding](https://christian.noeding-online.de/), an awesome dude who inspired this project and halp me understand missing fundumutals**
# The protocol
The protocol is based on ultranet, which in itself is based on AES/EBU
Basically, the idea is to fit 8 channels of 48 KHz audio by multiplexing them inside a 192KHz AES/EBU stream:
