HyperNet

HyperNet is an open-source audio networking solution designed for enthusiasts who want to transmit high-quality multi-channel audio over CAT-5 or fiber-optic networks. My goal is to create a robust and flexible system.

Currently the project can handle 4 channels of audio at 24-bit depth and 48KHz sample rate.

Special thanks to Dr. Christian Nöding, an awesome dude who inspired this project and halp me understand missing fundumutals

The protocol

The protocol is based on ultranet, which in itself is based on AES/EBU

Basically, the idea is to fit 8 channels of 48 KHz audio by multiplexing them inside a 192KHz AES/EBU stream:
